This endeavor is a way for me to help out, and it's fun for me.  My hope is that by working with events, we can help build community, encourage diversity of people and ideas, raise money for causes, and bring people together.  - Jed Hammel

I am a marketer, project manager, content creator, and video director.

I got my start in LA working in production for NBC Late Night, leading talent research for TV shows such as "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno", and in the production offices of the drama "ER".

I went on to produce or direct 20+ indie films that screened at over 130 film festivals worldwide, including one that won Best Film at Comic-Con San Diego and has over 1 million views on Youtube.

I was on the co-founding team in the inaugural year of City Awake, a social impact organization that grew from a volunteer-led 10 day festival bringing together over 250 partners organizing ~90 events showing how one can "do good" in Boston.

I've produced free-to-the-public events including the 2014 city awake closing-night party, the boston calendar's "free boston" events, a monthly "learning lab" series at aeronaut brewery, and 7 years of the filmshift film festival at the somerville theater.

Aside from films, I've also directed music videos, produced commercial videos for clients such as startup institute, cambridge innovation Center, gather at district hall, and dell computer/alienware.  you can check out a demo reel of some of my work (and some fancy examples of work I had nothing to do with but my team of collaborators did:
